Michael Disco (Producer, Executive) currently serves as President of Film at AGBO, the Russo Bros’ independent film and television studio. AGBO is behind films including Oscar winning “Everything Everywhere All At Once”, the Ryan Gosling-fronted “The Gray Man” and the Chris Hemsworth lead “Extraction” series.
Disco’s upcoming films for AGBO include Amazon’s “The Bluff,” starring Priyanka Chopra and Karl Urban. The Netflix thriller, “The Whisper Man”, led by Robert De Niro, Michelle Monaghan, and Adam Scott, as well as Netflix’s, “Tygo”, starring Don Lee (Ma Dong-seok) and BLACKPINK’s Lisa.
Prior to joining AGBO, Disco was the founder of The Disco Factory, a film production company with an exclusive deal at Warner Bros. and New Line Cinema. The company’s first project was The Sopranos prequel film, “The Many Saints of Newark”. Following that, Disco produced the Andy Muschietti directed, “The Flash”, starring Ezra Miller, Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck.
Previously, Disco served as a development executive at New Line Cinema from2000-2018, rising to the rank of Executive Vice President of Production for the division. Throughout his tenure he oversaw thirty-four movies, with a total gross approaching $4.5 billion. Highlights include the Dwayne Johnson action-adventure films “San Andreas”($474M worldwide box office), “Rampage” ($426M WWBO), and “Journey 2: The Mysterious Island” ($335M WWBO). Other highlights include the hit comedies “CentralIntelligence,” “Horrible Bosses,” “Game Night,” Golden Globe winner “The Disaster Artist,” as well as early career successes such as “Hairspray,” “Valentine’s Day,” and “He’s Just Not That Into You.”In 2010, Disco was selected by The Hollywood Reporter for their “Next Gen” list of studio executives 35 and under. He graduated from Syracuse University with a degree in Policy Studies, a joint program between the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs and The College of Arts and Sciences. He is a member of PGA, BAFTA, and AFI.
